You've reached the blog of Anna Harbine. I am a graduate student currently studying Public History at Eastern Washington University. Currently, I am the assistant editor of Spokane Historical, a web and mobile platform designed to tell stories about Spokane's regional history. As assistant editor, I edit student submitted stories, find and create complementing media, and develop new content for Spokane Historical.

As a public historian, I am keenly interested in how communities connect to their histories, and how painful histories can be used as a tool for reconciliation.
This summer, I am working on several projects within the Spokane community, including designing interpretive signs for a local park, developing digital tours for Spokane Historical, scanning images for a local museum, and working on research for my Master's thesis project. I am also completing an internship at the Digital Archives and Eastern Region Branch of the Washington State Archives.
For more information on myself or any of my projects, you can contact me at annaharbine@gmail.com
